Altona is a Foundry for precision steel parts, founded 83 years ago, in the South of Brazil. For the past 23 years it has been exporting to countries of North and South America, Europe, and the Middle East. Altona has ISO 9001: 2000, ISO TS-16949 and SA-8000 certification from BVC, and other certifications from: Lloyds Register of Shipping, Germanischer Lloyds, Det Norske Veritas, and TUV. It is in the final stages of acquiring ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 certification.
The company currently employs 1, 050 persons, and ranks among the best industrial companies in its field in Brazil, as a supplier of components for Coal Power Generation equipment.
